CF Professional offers multilingual desktop publishing services in over 80 languages. One of the main advantages of entrusting us with your desktop publishing needs, after we have completed your translation project, is the fact that you will not have to worry about outsourcing this service to a third party who would have to deal with foreign text they are not familiar with; therefore, you avoid the risk of having a substandard final product.  For example, documents translated from English into certain languages, such as French, Haitian Creole, Spanish, Italian, and some others, tend to expand in word count, by at least 15 to 25 % and therefore require more space or a reduction in font size, when doing the graphical layout. Certain languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, are written right to left and as such require a complete modification in the page layout. In addition, character-based languages or languages with complex scripts, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese and others, require specific versions of standard publishing software in order to generate localized documents for the target users.

Our desktop publishing team works in close collaboration with our native proofreaders to ensure accuracy in the target language, to ensure text meaning has not been compromised during the adjustment process, and to also ensure that the formatted document complies with the target language standards (i.e., words are correctly hyphenated between lines, graphics and text are properly laid out and the entire content and product have been culturally adapted and convey the intended message for that particular target audence).

We support a variety of applications including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe PageMaker, QuarkXpress, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Publisher, among others.
